Alison McCrohon, A.T.O.D, L.G.T.D.A, Q.P.I.B is the principal of Star Studio Dance Academy, which has been established since 1999. Alison has developed her career skills to create a dance studio with the ideology to support children with self discipline, self esteem and confidence.

Alison feels dancing in all it's forms allows children the opportunity to explore the magical world of make believe. Alison also believes bringing enthusiasm and excitement to her classes with fun, laughter and role play are an essential ingredient.

Alison is qualified in all genres of dance and is a registered teacher with the LGTDA & ATOD syllabuses and a leading judge, choreographer & adjudicator, and was taught by the most respected teachers in Australia. Alison over her career has won many competitions in the Newcastle & Sydney Dance Arena, and is a recognised face in the dancing world.

Alison is also a qualified insurance broker she has found the discipline of dance very beneficial, dance has instilled in her attention to detail, accuracy & work ethic. Alison has also had great success with her modelling career being chosen for exclusive photographic brochure & catalogue work of top designers, bridal shows, fashion events along with compering & event management.

Alison feels that a child is like a flower, and that dancing is best learnt in a relaxed, non-competitive environment and when cared for individually, will have the opportunity to bloom. This supportive environment, encourages the children to enjoy a class atmosphere as a whole.
